Today, we celebrate a remarkable leader, strategist, and visionary, Yinka Akande, as he marks 60 incredible years of impact, excellence, and innovation!
From his tenure as Director-General and CEO of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) to his role as Managing Director of Dangote Industries Free Zone Development Company (DIFZDC), Akande has consistently shaped industries with his expertise and leadership.
Before joining MAN, he led xYz Marketing Consult, a company he founded after serving as Brand Director at Etisalat Nigeria. A brilliant marketing strategist and educator, he was also the first-ever Director of Events, Sponsorship & Promotions and later Director of Communications at Globacom, Nigeria’s second national carrier.
With over 26 years of experience across industrial relations, plant production, demand management, marketing, sales, and brand management, he has left an indelible mark at global giants like Coca-Cola International, GlaxoSmithKline, UAC, and Unilever.
A man of wisdom and values, Akande defines himself as “Passionate, Principled, Personable, and Professional.” And those who have worked with him would agree – he embodies these qualities effortlessly.
