Championing Representation: The Story of Tinuke Awe, Founder of Learning with Ez

When Tinuke had her son over five years ago, she embarked on a search for educational resources that reflected his image, only to find a void. This experience ignited a passion in her to ensure that children everywhere see themselves represented in their learning materials. Since launching Learning with Ez in 2020, Tinuke’s mission has been to help children around the globe feel seen and valued. Her initiative has garnered attention from notable publications such as Baby magazine and Red magazine and earned her recognition as a top entrepreneur by HSBC and UKBB.

In addition to her involvement with Learning with Ez, Tinuke is also the co-founder of Five X More CIC, a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the quality of Black maternal health care. Drawing from her extensive background in Human Resources, Learning and Development, as well as her academic background in psychology, Tinuke brings a unique blend of professional knowledge and personal dedication to the table. Through her work, she strives to make a positive impact and drive meaningful change in the realm of maternal health disparities within the Black community.

Tinuke’s dedication to advocacy stems from a deep personal connection. Being a mother to a child with autism has provided her with a unique perspective on the challenges and nuances of disabilities and neurodiversity. Mums and Tea stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration, showcasing the importance of solidarity and resilience in the face of adversity.
