In July 2023, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite’s career took another leap forward when she was appointed as Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment by President Bola Tinubu. This role places her at the forefront of Nigeria’s efforts to stimulate economic growth through industrial development, trade expansion, and investment promotion. Her mission is to support the growth of local businesses, attract foreign investments, and create job opportunities across small, medium, and large enterprises. Within her first week in office, Uzoka-Anite received Nigeria’s inaugural Investment Policy, which focuses on sustainable economic development and responsible investment practices.
