Okosi furthered his studies at Saint Michael’s College, Vermont, where he achieved a dual major in Business Administration and Economics, graduating Magna cum laude in 1998.

With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Alex Okosi solidified his position in the global media and entertainment landscape. His odyssey commenced in 1998 at MTV Networks in New York, evolving into a pivotal role in MTV International. Over the years, he assumed critical positions, steering the launch of MTV’s first African TV channel, MTV Base, and significantly contributing to ViacomCBS’s ventures across the African continent. His endeavors were integral in establishing key channel brands tailored to the African market.

In 2020, Okosi took the helm at YouTube EMEA Emerging Markets, driving innovation and enhancing digital accessibility throughout Africa. His tenure at YouTube witnessed landmark achievements, including the successful rollout of YouTube Shorts and YouTube Kids app in EMEA markets, further cementing his legacy as an influential leader in the tech industry.
