The recent investiture of Prince Arc. Akinlusi Muhaiminudeen Adeniji Mohammed as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) marked a significant milestone in the architectural and community development landscape. The event, held during the NIA’s 2024 Annual General Meeting, celebrated Mohammed’s outstanding contributions to architecture and sustainable development in Nigeria.
A distinguished alumnus of King’s College, Lagos, and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Mohammed holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Architecture. His professional journey spans over two decades, with a rich portfolio as Managing Partner at Crescent Konsult since 2000. Notable projects under his leadership include the expansion and semi-automation of NAHCO Aviance’s Import and Export Cargo Terminals at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and the development of Isalu Hospitals in Ikeja.
His firm’s work on upgrading the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Effurun, Delta State, to a university and infrastructure improvements at Crescent Schools in Victoria Island, Lagos, further underscore his impact. Beyond architecture, Mohammed has served as a Development Consultant for Lagos Island East LCDA and Oshimili North Local Government, contributing strategic development master plans.
Recognized globally, Mohammed holds memberships with the International Academy for Design & Health and the International Facility Management Association. His leadership extends to community service, chairing the Lagos Chapter of the OAU Muslim Graduates Association and supporting design competitions for Ife Architecture Students Association (IFASA).
Married to Dr. Fatimat Akinlusi, an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a proud father of four, Mohammed’s investiture celebrates a life dedicated to architectural excellence, leadership, and sustainable community development.
