April 26, 2025, marked a day of compassion, empowerment, and purpose as the Women of Will (WOW) Organisation made a memorable impact during their landmark International Women’s Conference in Zanzibar, visiting the SOS Children’s Village. The outreach formed part of the post-conference activities following the groundbreaking WOW International Women’s Conference 2025, themed “Empowering Women Globally: Creating a Boundless Future for Leading Businesses, SMEs, Trade, Innovation, and Transformation from Grassroots to Boardrooms.”
Led by Yinka Odeajo, the Convener and Founder, Deborah Jayeoba, Team Lead, and Engnr. Kazeem Mustapha, with a mission to create a lasting impact in communities across Africa, the WOW team extended their influence beyond the boardroom to the very spaces where hope is most needed among vulnerable children and caregivers. The organisation donated branded children’s T-shirts, traditional Kitenge fabrics, and a monetary gift in support of the village’s ongoing care and welfare programs.
“We are deeply moved by the selfless generosity shown by WOW,” wrote SOS Children, Zanzibar Programme Director Gharib Abdalla in a heartfelt letter of gratitude. “Their donation will help mark Mother’s Day on May 11, recognizing our caregivers and empowering the children with dignity and joy.”
